Sushi and her friends

Several years ago, I believe it was 2006, I bought Sushi for One, Wilde Imagination's Ellowyne Wilde. I didn't care for the outfit; I don't know why, but I sold it separately on eBay. Actually, I messed with her hair as I don't care so much for fantasy hair and trimmed about an inch from the back, leaving the sides long and braided.

Now she is my favorite. As you can see, she has several friends and the most recent are Marley Wentworth and her pet, Browser.

How Different my life has become

now that I am a grandmother. Each moment seems more precious as I look at my husband; my daughter's happy family; and my own father and brother. I have many wishes and the one that I wish the most is that they know love.

Why do people blog? I haven't figured that out, except to know that it could be an exercise in writing. Why do we read blogs? Probably for selfish reasons, maybe to read about ourselves?

Claudia Rose.

I love this doll. I won her at Lois Jo's Doll Auction on October 31, 2009. I've always wanted to have a doll made by Jan Mclean, but I normally could not afford such a creation.

She is very tall, a porcelin doll and quite lovely. She is 23 inches and very somber looking and presides over the old 1908 mahogany secretary that belonged to my Great-grandmother Lederer along with Katie, an artist doll produced by a woman from Kansas City. Photos of Katie at a later date.

I hope you stop by as I will be adding more pictures of the dolls. Thanks, Vicky

I miss the afternoons baking cakes with Grandma and eating the batter; laughing about not having enough for the cake!

I miss birthdays and cakes made by Grandpa, with white, whipped cooked frosting on angel food cake; ice cream and fresh strawberries.

I miss old fashioned birthday cards, especially the ones Grandma sent where she had erased the signature from her "older friends" and put her name! They were so sweet. Now, my father gives me old fashioned birthday cards and Christmas cards that she had tucked away in the dresser in the back room. I miss the old "finds" from the dump... (not sure my husband does), they were quite unique.

I miss Grandma. *tear*
